OHA licensed psilocybin facilitator

Hello, I’m Naoko Bishop.

I am deeply passionate about guiding individuals on a journey of inner exploration using psilocybin mushrooms. My life has been a tapestry of inner exploration, art, and healing, intertwined with the wisdom of Eastern traditions and the transformative power of psychedelics.

In my youth, I turned to meditation amidst personal struggles, encountering transcendent experiences that facilitated inner healing and overcoming adversity. Seeking to understand and express these experiences, I studied ancient Indian art under Shuntaro Matsuyama at Tama Art University in Japan, delving into the healing aspects of art and craftsmanship.

After graduating, Pablo Amaringo, an Ayahuasca painter, visited Japan, where I discovered profound similarities between meditation-induced transcendental experiences and psychedelic medicines such as Ayahuasca and psilocybin mushrooms. I realized the healing and artistic expression facilitated by Ayahuasca and psilocybin mushrooms could be powerful allies in personal growth. Subsequently, I visited Ladakh, Dharamsala, and Bhutan to explore Buddhism, learned meditation at ashrams in the Himalayas and Thailand, and studied mindfulness at Plum Village in southern France. These experiences provided deep insights into the complexities of the human mind and soul.

From 2005, I organized holistic workshops at Hotaka Yojoen, covering various aspects of integrative medicine and well-being, including yoga, meditation, herbal therapy, forest therapy, co-counseling, sweat lodges, and permaculture. I hosted transpersonal therapy workshops for three years with Shinichi Yoshifuku and organized workshops on integrative medicine by Dr. Andrew Weil.

After immigrating to the United States in 2015, I immersed myself in Waldorf education, serving as a Handwork teacher for nearly eight years at a Waldorf charter school, where I focused on children’s artistic expression and healing. However, in 2023, a reunion with the artwork of Pablo Amaringo led me back to the path of psychedelic medicine facilitation, inspired by Ayahuasca. Since then, I have studied Entheogenic Medicine at the Synaptic Institute and obtained certification as a psilocybin facilitator by the state of Oregon in 2024. I have also acquired qualifications in Somatic Psychedelic Facilitation.

I am enrolled in the Transpersonal Psychology Master’s program at Ubiquity University, where I learn tools for inner integration. At ACER Integration, led by Dr. Rosalind Watts, I explore psychedelic integration approaches for clients. After graduation, I aim to create a community for integration tailored to Japanese individuals.

In my sessions, I provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to delve deeply into their inner worlds, fostering self-discovery and healing journeys. Additionally, for integrated sessions, I offer a Japanese-style retreat where clients can experience profound insights through meditation and engage freely in crafts and art in nature. While psychedelics have been used as healing medicines since ancient times, they are not panaceas. However, when set and setting are carefully considered, they can be powerful tools for deeply transforming the mind and facilitating healing. With the legalization of psilocybin sessions in Oregon, I would be grateful for the opportunity to accompany you on a safe psychedelic journey.
